Author's Review
First, let me preface this by saying I am not a distributor nor have I ever been, for Eco-Quest. Admittedly, as much as I like ours, I wonder how many of these reviews are by people who sell them. So, just so you know you are reading an unbiased opinion, I clarified...
My husband had been struggling with seasonal allergies and a persistent cough. The allergies got worse every year, and unlike a lot of people, mostly plagued him during winter, when we spend more time indoors. He was very often tired (which we later recognized as a symptom of the allergies). His cough would lessen and worsen, but never would go away. His sister is a nurse and insisted he ask his doctor for a chest x-ray, thinking it was pneumonia. It came back clear. The doctor just gave him cough syrup. Our daughter also suffered from seasonal allergies (different timing from Dad of course!). When she remembered to take a Claritin, that helped, but we never really liked the idea of our 11 year old being on medication long term.
We were a bit skeptical, to say the least, that the machine would help us. I trusted the friend that was selling the Fresh Air machine, and after hearing about how his familys allergies cleared up, and his offer to try it before we bought it, we thought it would be foolish and frankly, an uneducated decision to say no.
We have had the Fresh Air machine for 8 months now, and have experienced so many benefits. My husband's health has improved immensely. His allergy symptoms and his cough are gone. Not just better, but gone. Additionally,my daughter's allergies have gone away.
I also wanted to tell you about some of the unexpected benefits weve experienced. Our 7 year old routinely gets croup. Whenever he gets a cold or a cough, it immediately migrates to his respiratory area and starts barking. Not only does it sound horrible, but it is so uncomfortable for him. We also have a large dog who used to be an outdoor dog. Hes now an indoor dog (complete with the dog smell eww) but after running the Fresh Air machine, the dog smell is limited to just the dog and not the whole house!
My son's croup is gone. My husband even turned off the machine without telling anyone. After the end of the weekend, my daughter started complaining of alergy symptoms, and not sleeping as well. My son woke up a few time coughing that barky cough, and even I was more sniffly thatn normal. That convinced us. We turned it back on and within a day all felt better again.
