Not the best camera but good enough for the money.

We bought this camera from Walgreens for just around $100.00. We were not really in the market for a new one yet. We just wanted to try this one because it seemed like a good deal. A hundred dollars is not a bad price for a digital camera. I have seen a lot of other cameras out there for a lot more. This particular came with two AA batteries, a easy share software disc, USB cable, and a wrist strap. The reason that this one is so cheap is because this is not the top of the line but it can be adequate for the average person.

This camera has only 3.2 mega pixels and there is no way to manually focus if you get to far away from the object that you are taking a picture of. There is only a 5X digital zoom capabilities, like I said you have to be close enough to take a picture. This would probably be perfect for you child if you wanted to have a camera for themselves. This does take good pictures and I think that you would say that it is as good as walgreens. You can save a lot of money by doing the printing yourself.

There is not much built in memory for taking pictures. There is only 16mb worth of memory built inside. You will have to definitely go out and buy an additional memory card if you want to take a lot of pictures. I suggest that you buy a 50 picture space card and then transfer it to your computer and then erase it from the card. This will save you quite a bit of money because the other cards are very expensive.

Along with the 3.2 megapixels this camera can produce prints up to 11x14 inches in size. This also has a neat little share button that you can tag your pictures for easy e-mailing to your friends. There is a 1.5 inch screen to review and preview, these are all in LCD color. It has a capture mode that is always on the ready. Another nice little feature of this camera is capable to do the 30 second video clip. The Kodak easy share software works with the easy share docking station. It even comes with a plastic adaptor for the docking stations.

You will see that it is equipped with full color modes. The batteries that come with you camera will not last you very long. You will be lucky if they last you a couple of days. I have been using the batteries from Kodak that are made for digital cameras. Plus they are long lasting. They last ten times longer.

There is also a ten second timer that you can use if you wish to be in the pictures. This camera come equipped with a built in flash. You can turn it off if you wish or auto, fill in flash, and a red eye reduction.
The minimum system requirements that you need to use this on your computer is windows 98, 98se, me, 2000spi, or ep os. The internet explorer 5.01 or higher. A minimum of 233 mhz processor. Or a Macintosh os x10.2.3, 10.3 or higher, or safari 1.0 or higher.

The minimum hardware requirements that you will need is 128 mb of ram, 64 mb ram for windows, 98, 98se, 2000spi, me os. A 200mb hard drive disc space available. A cd rom drive and a available USB port.

If you have all of these requirements you will just be able to point and shoot. If you also choose the right paper to use when printing you will have good quality prints to show all of your friends.


Kodak gives you a one year very limited warranty. The one thing that they are very persistent about is they want you to keep the original receipt of purchase. Make sure you do because they will give you a hassle if you don't keep it. If you look at the written warranty they look as if they are really trying to get out of the warranty. Basically if anything goes wrong they do not want to be responsible for their product. You would think that they would want to keep the name Kodak in good standings with the public. But I guess not. All they want is your money no matter how little amount it is.
