ESPN Magazine Subscription

ESPN the magazine is not the best sports magazine on the news rack. That honor is by far held by SI. It does however provide a good alternative. Its bi-weekly format is good for those people who don't have time to read a comprehensive magazine in a week. With ESPN there is little worry of back issues building up because you hadn't finished reading it by the time the next one comes. The bi-weekly format is nice in another way, the pocketbook. 26 issues compared to 52 or 53 works out to less than half of the price of SI.

The writing is what you would expect from a sports magazine. Nothing really exceptional, but still a good story. The pictures are so-so. Some are great and some are not.

All in all, it is a good alternative to SI.
