Not Exactly Red Wine, but Works Just Fine

Date of Review:  Dec 23, 2000
Review: I actually got the eTower under what I thought were strange circumstances. I was not at the market looking for another computer but wasn't opposed to the idea. In fact, you might think that I'm typing my opinion on the eTower right now huh? Psych!...

eMachine: I'm Cheap, I'm Poor, but I'm Happy

Date of Review:  Aug 1, 2000
The Bottom Line: If you don't have a lot spend this could be your machine.
Review: I have been dying to write my review about this new computer for several weeks now but felt like I really needed to give it some time to see what bugs would show up.

When my sister called and said there was a great deal on emachines as...

Not For Office Use

Date of Review:  Feb 18, 2001
The Bottom Line: This is a great machine for home use, basically internet. Important files should be backed up immediately, you never know when the A drive might go.
Review: Let's face it, not everyone can afford a great 900 MHZ Compaq with re-writable drive and Pentium IV, so this computer is great for you.

My office is pretty small, and about a year ago when I purchased this machine, we were not doing so...

A great, simple computer

Date of Review:  Jun 17, 2000
Review: I purchased this computer because I needed to upgrade my old pentium 75 that was 5 years old. We already had a monster of a computer from Dell that can do just about anything, so I was not worried about a lot of options. For me, this computer was a...

I love this MACHINE

Date of Review:  Aug 3, 2000
Review: This Computer is so awesome. At first, i was looking for a computer to get my homework done on, play some games, and maybe hold a few hundred mp3s. I was looking at Dell's and Gateway's but my friend told me about eMachine so i looked on the...

A good little workhorse

Date of Review:  Jun 18, 2000
The Bottom Line: Update, one year later with a RAM (192 mb) upgrade, my emachine is going stronger then ever.
Review: My Pentium 120 was having a hard time keeping up so I decided to get a RAM upgrade to speed things up a bit. The cost of a 64 mb upgrade was nearly $200.00! Yikes! On a spur, I looked at this emachine, which went for $299 after the rebate...

Great Value!

Date of Review:  Jul 13, 2002
The Bottom Line: Solid buy, just be ready to add more RAM in the future.
Review: I spotted this computer at Sams Club for $399 including a 15" monitor. At that price I couldn't afford to pass it up even though I already had several Pentium 200s in the house. I actually bought 2 of the emachines- one for me and one for my...

Impressive Desktop for the Price - Is it right for you?

Date of Review:  Sep 25, 2000
Review: The price of eMachine's computers is amazing. They are undercutting the price of the competition significantly. The 500is eTower is a sheet metal box with a plastic bezel. It is very solid and will not be falling apart. The look is basic unlike the...

Date of Review:  Feb 18, 2001
The Bottom Line: Adequate for average home or student use. If you are a heavy and serious user, I would consider another product.
Review: Not being an expert or anywhere near one, and most everyone I know having already bought one with no apparent complaints, (I didn't even know that Epinions.com existed), I decided last April to buy the computer for which I had been saving up...
