Yes It Works As Advertised... BUT... *GRIN

Schlamozzel here with another Slumlord Brand (TM) review of a product that general home-owners and SLUMLORDS alike should own. Today's subject, the Dyson DC07 All Floors Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum.

Well as many of you return readers have come to know "Schlamozzel" is getting on with life in many aspects. "Life progression issues" such as loved one loss and divorce have been flipping around. So too spins the world. And now Schlamozzel has found a sweet life with an incredible lady. Well, not just the lady. She also has 7 dogs (another story for another review) at her home. With all of that pet hair, the one vacuum that seems to work cleaning it up is the Dyson DC07 All Floors Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum.

The Basics

This appliance operates on standard 110 volt A/C current. The main body and associated parts including "attachment" tools for cleaning different areas and surfaces are all comprised of plastics of assorted densities and durabilities. The "bagless" dust / dirt canister has a spring loaded latch release for "single-handed" operation and emptying. This model has a "HEPA" type filtration system to reduce allergens getting spewed back into the air as you work. The electric cord at a blazing 26+ foot length keeps you vacuuming and not unplugging and re-plugging.

How well it works / My experiences with this product

Picture this environment: A single family, "Cape Cod" style home with carpeted floors, hardwood floors, and lenoleum floors containing 6 Greyhounds (no it's NOT a type-o) and 1 "mutt" along with a couple of adult humans. Does the word HAIR come to mind? You betcha it does! Keeping all that canine company at times calls for the hounds to be sheltered in "crates". (These are heavy gage wire "boxes" with soft, comfortable bedding inside) So just like with humans the dogs shed. But in a few short days the hair in and around the crates piles up enough to make an entire new kennel full of dogs!

I saw all of this clumped up and thick matted pet hair and grabbed the Dyson DC07 All Floors Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum. I was determined to prove old Mr. Dyson wrong and clog up his fancy machine. I vacuumed and cleaned... sucked up some errant pieces of doog food kibble, other assorted "things" that I don't even know what they were... even a few coins. I emptied that canister 3 times in less than one hour, and went right back to work. The counfounded machine NEVER CLOGGED UP! The only thing that stopped up the vacuum was when I sucked up the end of a blanket. And that jam was easily cleared so I could get right back to work.

There is a "wand" feature that retracts into the upright handle. It is very easily removed, extends without much effort, remains in place in a sturdy manner, allows for easy attachment and detachment of the cleaning tools and goes back in place without "argument". Why couldn't this guy have designed my ex-wife's personality?

Final thoughts

There are very few things in this life that are man made and can be easily purchased that will impress me. I'm a real tough consumer. Hands down I will say that this Dyson DC07 All Floors Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum lives up to it's claims made in advertising. It works on some of the most incredibly "pet hair saturated" carpets I have ever seen in my life. And as a Professional SLUMLORD you know I've seen my share. I've got nothing to complain about with this item. So go ahead and BUY!
