About 6 years ago I found Duke Nukem 3D and have been a big fan ever since then! So when I saw Time To Kill I knew I had to have it.
1st thing I love about it is that it is 3rd person. I like the Duke Nukem series, but since i get burned out on 1st person shooters really quick, I am glad this one is 3rd person. The graphics are great, and I had to love the fact that there are nudie bars on almost every level that I have played so far...that is definitely a bonus!
Naturally, true to the Duke Nukem style, there are the endless barrage of smart alack comments and snide remarks. Besides that, the sound effects are outstanding once again.
My only complaint is that it is too much of a problem solving type game. I like to run through and blast everything in sight, and not necessarily have to stop and think about where I need to go next or if I need to solve some clue. That kinda bothered me, but not enough to keep me from playing!
Oh yeah, and multi-player is horrible, too. You are just running around a maze trying to kill your buddy, which would be cool if it wasn't on a split screen! In Twisted Metal this was fine because in the cars it was a little easier to run from your opponent, but try outrunning and dodging a shot from an RPG on foot!
OH, and if you have a game enhancer, there are some really cool add ons to the weapons for the game (not including the unlimited ammo, unlimited health, etc...), such as a laser gattling gun, super shotgun that fires all 5 shots in the chamber in rapid succession, a hi-temp flame thrower, etc...you gotta love it!
