I was in a hurry one day, and I picked up the first roll on bottle of Anti-Perspirant & Deodorant I came to. I had never used
Dry Idea Roll-On Antiperspirant & Deodorant, Regular Scent before.
What I Expect From a Roll-On
I prefer roll-on type deodorant, antiperspirants to stick versions. I like a roll on with a larger type ball over the smaller. They seem to glide over the under arm area easier than the smaller balls.
I want my roll-on deodorant to dry fairly fast. I hate the idea of wet underarms under my clothing. If a roll-on deodorant won't dry, then to me it is a turn off. I don't feel clean. I am picky in that sense.
I also want my roll-on to last all day long, and I am not so concerned with the fragrance, as I am the protection from wetness, and odors.
Did Dry Idea Measure Up???
Well, to tell you the truth, I did not care for this product at all. What turned me off was that it took so long to dry. For me, if I glided the roll-on under my arms just once, I found that it took a total of 6 minutes to completely dry. This was without a shirt on, holding my arm up in the air.
If I swiped it back and forth, (two layers), then I found that it took me on the average of 16 minutes to completely dry.
This was a complete turn off for me, even though this product did give me coverage all day long. I did not experience any odors, or wetness. I found this product to be a bit over drying on my skin. It was not enough to cause any irritation.
Description of Bottle, Pricing, and Scent
Ohhhh, I was not impressed with the scent of this product at all. It sort of smelled like a mix between a cold cream for your face, and a powder. I am just glad that the scent of this product was not very strong at all. I was able to easily wear any of my perfumes, and lotions, and not have to worry about my scents clashing. The scent that I chose was Regular. Dry idea also comes in a unscented version.
I found the 2.5oz bottle of Dry Idea at my local CVS Pharmacy for a whopping $4.29. I think that is crazy. I find this to be a bit over priced. I would not have spent this much on this product, but like I had mentioned, I was in a hurry.
Dry Idea Comes in a plain white plastic bottle with dark blue lettering. Its nothing special, just a boring looking bottle. What I did like, was the fact that the roll on did have a larger ball, and was easier to glide, compared to other roll-ons.
