It is that ! ! !

If you permit yourself to place aside conventional ideas about what a movie should be, this is a great movie. The surreal nature of the brief series of eight "dreams" are engaging. Though some are more than others. The opening Fox Wedding is a good introduction to the rest of the series. I admit that the Soldier in the Tunnel and Van Gogh are two of my favorite segments. Some of the segments are not for the impatient, in fact, this movie is definitely not suitable for someone not in a thinking mood. Despite its dreamlike quality each segment requires attention so do not plan on wandering in and out. Although a few of the segments are a little plodding (probably intentional in some cases, the Mountain Climbers for instance) this is an engaging movie with an intelligent and visually stimulating presentation.
