Whistling is good?

Another DBZ movie. As a big fan, I am always wanting a run away hit, but always get let down by the endings. "Tree of Might", "Broly the Legendary Super Saiyan", "History of Trunks", and now "Lord Slug" all have endings I hate. I just wish they did more with these movies and gave us more action at the end.

Piccolo is hovering by a sereen water fall. Gohan approaches with Icaris (sp?) his purple pet dinosaur. Gohan starts whistling and Icaris starts dancing. Piccolo who is ignoring them and trying to concentrate cannot no longer and starts to be driven insane by Gohans whistling. He pleads for him to stop and never do it again.

In the mean time, Lord Slug lands on Earth and starts reaping the natural resources for himself. Gohan, Chi Chi, Icaris, Oolong, Bulma, and Piccolo are all on the scene, and start fighting with the legions of fighters that Lord Slug has. Chi Chi holds her own until she pauses a moment to bask in her glory. She gets struck from behind. Gohan goes into a rage seeing his mother hurt and defeats a ton of bad guys. Lord Slug notices Gohan's hidden strength and his Dragonball on his hat and sends out his best men. Bulma opens her big mouth (again like always) and reveals that she has the Dragon radar on her person so that Lord Slug can collect the dragonballs and wish for youth. He collects them and does wish for youth.

Piccolo and Gohan fight these three mighty fighters Lord Slug has sent, and Piccolo defeats one in a "no mercy" showing. Gohan on the other hand is defeated, and Piccolo arrives just in time to save him, injuring himself in the process. Krillian and Goku show up just in time to save Gohan and Piccolo, and Goku defeats the remaining two bad guys prompting Lord Slug to defend his turf.

Krillian, thinking Lord Slug is a push over gets defeated in one blow, and Goku and Lord Slug square off. Goku is no match. He gets beat up pretty badly. When all seems lost, he powers up to start turning the tables. Lord Slug however, powers up even more and grows to the size of a giant. It is revealed that he is a super Namek and was banned from his planet ages ago. He starts pummeling Goku when Piccolo rejoins the fight. Just when it looks like Lord Slug is going to win, Piccolo reminds Gohan of their waterfall encounter and orders him to do what he did at the waterfalls. Piccolo rips his ears off, and Gohan whistles. It drives Lord Slug insane enough for him to be defeated.

The ending was silly. I would have loved to see Goku create a moon glow like Vegita did in the Dragonball Z series to have Gohan become an ape and destroy Lord Slug, than the finish they had in this movie. The story line was awesome until they did that. So, if you ever come up against a Namek, just whistle, and you can defeat them easily.
