DBZ - Broly = Trouble

I just can't get enough of DBZ. I am hooked. I could sit and watch every episode of DBZ until my head exploded. I have seen several of the DBZ movies, and this is the one of the newest to hit the market.

I will spoil this movie, so let me just say I loved this video before I go and spoil the fun. If you want to know what happens before buying, then read on ...

Goku and Chi Chi open the movie waiting in line to enroll Gohan in a prestigous school. Goku looks out of place in a suit, and acts like his corny self as Chi Chi feeds him lines to regurgitate to the school board. Next we see the Z fighters all having a picnic in the park. A space ship lands and Vagetta is worshiped by the inhabitants. Vagetta is offered to rule over a new planet Vagetta, and he accepts. Future Trunks senses something is fishy, and warns his father. The arrogance of Vagetta takes over, and he boards the ship. The rest of the Z fighters climb aboard as well. Meanwhile, Goku and Chi Chi are in the meeting concerning Gohan. King Kai contacts Goku telepathically, and asks him to go see him. He has very urgent news. Goku skips out of the meeting using his instant transmission, and meets with King Kai.

Goku learns of a new legendary super saiyan that is destroying the south galaxy. King Kai wants him to handle the matter. Goku uses his instant transmission and ends up on the same planet as Vagetta and the Z fighters. Goku is bewildered why he ended up there, but he senses a very strong saiyan presence. Broly, the son of the Saiyan that lured Vagetta to New Vagetta, goes with Vagetta to find this "Legendary Saiyan". The Z fighters find enslaved inhabitants of the planet and cities in ruins. Something is just not adding up.

Vagetta returns with Broly, and they run into Goku. Broly starts to lose his mind until his father calms him down. Goku senses something is not right, but dismisses it. That night Broly attacks Goku while he is sleeping. Goku avoids the Saiyans attacks, until the father comes and uses a mind controlling device to stop Broly. It is then we learn that Broly is the legendary super saiyan, and the whole DBZ crew has been lured there so they can be destroyed by Broly and a comet that is on a collision course with the planet. The next day, Goku confronts Vagetta telling him who Broly really is. Trunks arrives and tells Vagetta about the destroyed cities and the slaves. Vagetta realizes at this point that he has been tricked. Broly, unable to control his contempt and lust to destroy Goku attacks him. The fight is on. Vagetta in a state of shock does not join the fight. It looks glim for the Z fighters. Future Trunks, Gohan, and Goku are all beaten. Broly looks to be ready to kill Gohan, but out of nowhere Piccalo arrives and interfers. He gives the three sinsou beans, and now the foursome is ready to try again to stop Broly. Unsuccesful, Piccalo grabs Vagetta and talks sense into him to join the fight. No luck. Goku is the only one left standing, and Broly has taken upon himself to destroy him, inflicting as much pain as possible. Little does he know, the Z fighters are going to give Goku their power in order to defeat him. Vagetta resists the plan, finally realizing there is no other way he gives in. After Goku gets Vagetta's power, he destroys Broly with one punch. He the uses his instant transmission to move all the Z fighters off the planet as it breaks apart from the comet hitting it.

The movie finishes with a laugh, and the world is safe again.

My only beef with the movie was Goku destroying Broly with one punch. I would have preffered a major butt whooping first. It seemed the DBZ people said to themselves that the movie is getting to long, so they had a quick ending.
Broly was supposed to be this legendary Super Saiyan. I would have preffered a question mark ending. A super bomb blowing him up or some other explosion leaving the question of if he survived or not. The one punch ending was just not very good.
