Author's Review

I just watched this movie on a cable station on TV. It is a Comedy version of the Old Dracula movie. Main stars were Mel Brooks,Leslie Nielsen, and Harvey Korman. Leslie Nielsen played Dracula,Harvey Korman was the father of the girl that Dracula fell in Love with .He was also a Doctor at an Insane Asylum. Dracula had a servant that he had cast a spell on,to take care of his needs. His servant lived in the insane Asylum,he loved to eat bugs. Mel Brooks was the Doctor that was called in to find out what was going on. He was the one to discover Dracula.
Leslie Nielsen is funny in his part.I've never cared of him in other comedy movies ,but in this one ,he did a good job. He didn't OVER KILL
the comedy.
One of the scenes was when they had to drive a stake though the body of one of Dracula's victims. When he drove the spike into the body, there was a flood of blood spraying up onto the guy with the stake. The Doctor said "She had just eaten".HA!HA!She wasn't all the way dead so the guy had to hit the stake once again. Another flood of blood went all over him. Dracula runs into windows,Gets his spells all mixed up.You just have to see this one. A good change from the old Dracula movies. It's been around for a while, but this was the first time I've seen it.Has been around since 1995.
