Pros: Hardcore beats, Amazing Lyrics and Great Songs
Cons: NONE
Review: After his last album "The Aftermath", Chronic 2001 is something you would never expect. It blew up the charts staying number 1 for a long time. Dre's first CD "Chronic" was good. It was gangsta and hardcore. Those are the two things...

Pros: Dr. Dre's Chronic 2001 proves to the most well produced rap album of all time
Cons: Unecessary skits, no guest appearances from Ice Cube or RBX, but still a classic anyway
The Bottom Line: I wouldnt really say that its groundbreaking in the rap game lyrically, but production-wise it DID set new standards and trends.
Review: Dr. Dres sequel to the The Chronic may not have been as groundbreaking as the original, but 2001 ...

Review: I bought this cd right when it came out and I listened to it everyday for a long time. This weekend I was going out with my friends and I was looking for a good cd to listen to in the car; I pulled out my Dr Dre 2001 cd and listened to every single...

Pros: Great production and the beats are the best ive heard in a while.
Cons: Gangsta rap cliches.
The Bottom Line: This is a great comeback for Dr.Dre! It debuted in November 1999 and is still on the charts!!!
Review: Dr.Dre's much anticipated album, Chronic 2001, definately silenced all of the critics and older fans who said that he had lost his production skill and was slowly fading away in the rap genre. The music on this album is unmatched and it set a new...

Pros: Amazing production, stellar guest appearances, nearly perfect album
Cons: Could do without some of the skits!
The Bottom Line: A must have for any hip-hop collection. Flaweless production throughout the album make this one a definite Classic.
Review: On the 2001's first track, "The Watcher", Dr. Dre contemplates all of the changes that the rap world had witnessed since his hiatus from Death Row. Sure he had released his Aftermath compilation and he had even contributed the mafioso themes of the Firm....

Pros: awesome lyrics
Cons: not suitable for little kids
Review: Dr. Dre, Snoop, Eminem and Xzibit combine to create a great mix of rap styles. When I first bought this CD, I knew maybe 2 songs...but the whole album is kickin.. Dre did an excellent job producing this, but what can you expect from a guy who obviously...

Pros: Great Dr. Dre lyrics, Awesome instrumentals and Packed Full Of Guests
Cons: Not long enough, Heavy Profanity
The Bottom Line: I recommend this album completely, because it has so many different styles of Rap on it.
Review: As from my title, Dr. Dre - 2001 smokes by his last album The Chronic with 22 new hits and nearly all had the potential to burn up the charts. Songs include: Forgot About Dre, Still DRE, Xxplosive, Big Ego's, Murder Ink, Bang Bang and The Watcher. I...

Pros: Excellent Production, Nice Lyrics
Cons: A few too many guest appearances
Review: Dr. Dre hasn't put out a solo album since 1992's smash hit "The Chronic", which introduced us to Daz, Kurupt, Lady of Rage, RBX, and really showed us the talents of a young cat named Calvin Broadus, aka Snoop Doggy Dogg. "The...

Pros: good production, good rhymes, good beats
Cons: too many "interludes"
Review: Dr. Dre has put out hit after hit, firmly establishing himself as the hip-hop uber-producer. In late 1999, Dre released his first album in over 6 years, simply entitled 2001.
The album starts out with a pseudo-THX introduction, setting the stage... |
