Safety 1st Perfect Fit Gate--When you want to keep baby out, this is in!

Date of Review:  Aug 23, 2006
The Bottom Line: Th Safety 1st Perfect Fit Gate is perfect for keeping babies in or pets out... it even keeps the bottom line in its place.
Review: Seeing that I used to teach higher level mathematics, I have a pretty good grasp of how equations work. This includes the equation: baby stairs = bad. Now, this problem never bothered me before because I was missing a crucial part of the equation –...

Safety 1st Perfect Fit Gate.

Date of Review:  Feb 15, 2008
The Bottom Line: All in all i like the Safety first gate. It doesn't invite climbing, is easier to use than most and holds well.
Review: Our home now has four gates. We have two of these, the Safety First Perfect Fit Gate.

Not a Gate?

Though this gate does come with optional hinges it seems to me, from observing other households, that most people do not use them...

Well, I wouldn't say this gate is perfect...

Date of Review:  Aug 31, 2007
The Bottom Line: There are better gates out there. We found that this one was more trouble than what it was worth.
Review: Baby on the move...
This spring my "baby" went from hardly moving forward to "Whoa baby slow down!" Meanwhile of course he is looking less and less like a baby and looking more and more like a little boy/toddler. Our house is a tri-level plus...

Safety 1st provides us with the perfect fit!

Date of Review:  Mar 4, 2007
The Bottom Line: If you want a lower pressure-mount gate, this one comes with my highest recommendation.
Review: When Kid began to crawl and explore more around our house, we made the necessary trip to Babies R' Us to purchase some safety gates. We wanted to keep the hardware mounted gates to a minimum, and one of the gates we picked up for this purpose was...

Frosty & Fine

Date of Review:  Jun 4, 2008
The Bottom Line: This gate is DEFINITELY worth the purchase if you are gate shopping!
Review: When it came time to buy a safety gate for the bottom of our staircase, my husband recommended the Safety 1st Perfect Fit Gate. I have to admit, I wasn't very picky... I figured that if it would work at the bottom of our staircase and was the right...

Good for infants, good for pets too I suppose

Date of Review:  Apr 4, 2009
The Bottom Line: Safety 1st Perfect Fit gate: highly recommended. It provides flexibility and peace of mind.  Don't take your eyes off the kids, but when you must, it's a big help.
Review: As any family with a curious infant or toddler knows, there are some areas of the house that you just can't childproof.  That's where the Safety 1st Perfect Fit Gate comes in.  As our daughter began crawling, then walking, then running, and finally...

Works well for our dogs...

Date of Review:  Nov 25, 2008
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this for people using for pets, becuase I have pinched my fingers a couple of times, maybe not too safe for kids.
Review: We purchased 2 of these gates to keep our dogs on our main level. The advertise one handed use and it is pretty much one handed if you have something not super important (like a baby!) in your other hand. If you are using this in the same place all...

Definitely not my first choice.

Date of Review:  Mar 2, 2008
The Bottom Line: I only recommend this gate if you can't find anything else to install properly.
Review: Safety 1st Perfect Fit Gate is not the answer for your gate needs. When my son started crawling we soon realized that we were going to need to install safety gates on the stairs. We needed a safety gate for the bottom of the stairs and one for the...

have an old house? Get this gate!

Date of Review:  Aug 30, 2008
The Bottom Line: perfect gate for imperfect locations and at a great price.
Review: Because the "contact" side of this gate can be adjusted in two indepenent spots you are able to install this gate in a location where you lack two parallel surfraces. At first, this may appear a head scratcher. Think OLD HOUSE. Walls shift, floors...

Easy, easy, easy

Date of Review:  Jul 10, 2009
The Bottom Line: I would recommendend this product for use between a flat surface and an irregular one.  Not for top of stairs.
Review: I needed a gate I could move at any time of the day and put back later. It is between a THIN iron rail, and a wall with moulding on the bottom that juts out an inch or so. A bit complex for the average gate! This one fits the bill, and at 8 mos...
