About the movie:
The new season of Dora the Explorer is not just about Dora becoming a Star Catcher but also featuring Diego. The movie about Dora becoming a Star Catcher also available, it is called Star Catcher. So they all like in the same season.
Who is Diego?
Diego is a boy whose apparently Dora’s cousin (from which side of the family I do not know). Diego has a sister but in this movie she didn’t make any appearance (so don’t discuss about that), and his family ran an animal shelter so he often helped his family there. He is this cool boy who can speak to animal (remind me of Dr. Doolittle) and have great gadget, like a small laptop that tell us anything we want to know about animal (my 23 months daughter asked me for that), just click them and it can show us the picture of the animal, their habitat, habits, etc.
So in this movie Dora and Boots (the talking monkey) drop by at the Animal Shelter, meet Diego, then trying to save a penguin so he can return home. Like all Dora’s adventure, there’s Map, Backpack, friends they meet along the way, and the famous Swiper the Fox.
Dora featuring Diego actually reminded me of Xena the Warrior Princess that keep being included in Hercules (the serial). So they keep helping each other, in Go! Diego Go!, Dora also make several appearances.
Since this movie (Meet Diego), a lot of Dora’s adventure is her rescuing animal with Diego, so this is just a beginning.

Why I bought it:
Well as a continuing of Dora the Explorer adventure in my child’s daily movie, and the reason she enjoys it is the sound of the penguin, like to see the penguin wattle (walk), and cool rides a long the way, like the snow mobile. And because the South Pole is so far away (penguin’s home) they have to take a plane.
How many times she watch it? I don’t know, I even surprised it still can, because she watch it over and over again.
Why do I keep letting her watch it?
She learned about animals, sound of the animal is making, learn to remember a way (a process to reach something) from the Map, studying English, Spanish, and many more.
