No resting allowed

Date of Review:  Oct 21, 2004
The Bottom Line: To justify this one you've got to plan to do a lot of stowin n' goin. The Odyssey and Sienna have substantial advantages in most other areas.
Review: After driving the 2005 Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna, I decided I needed another look at the Chrysler. I gave it a favorable review last spring, but would this evaluation hold up with the Japanese vans fresh in my mind? Since I'd already reviewed...

Making each life Grand one Van at a time

Date of Review:  Mar 8, 2006
The Bottom Line: Economical minivan with gentle ride and comfortable seating.
Review: After finding out about the addition of our third baby, and looking at our worn down 1995 Oldsmobile Cutlass, we decided that the time had finally come to upgrade a get a new vehicle. A minivan was chosen over SUV's for several reasons. The first of...

Works better than I thought.

Date of Review:  Jan 18, 2006
The Bottom Line: Not as good looking inside as the Honda. But this is a real family friendly van that will do anything you bought a minivan to do, at a good price.
Review: I've owned a lot of Chrysler products over my life time and have had good and bad experiences with them. But I must say, I am pleasantly surprised with this minivan.

I have owned it now for 13 months and so far, haven't had a thing go...

Caravan Carnage

Date of Review:  Oct 26, 2007
The Bottom Line: I'd buy again, but I'd work em down a little more on price. Resale/trade-in price is horrible. Bought for $19k, 18mo later, worth $15k trade-in.
Review: After owning over 30 cars in my 20 years as a driver, I decided to swap my 04 Ranger Edge Supercab 4.0L AUTO 2wd for the 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT Spring Special Edition

When purchased: Bought this used from Gator Chrysler in...

It's Still a Van

Date of Review:  Jan 29, 2005
The Bottom Line: You can?t go too far wrong with this vehicle, though you?re well advised to check out other similar vehicles such as the Chevrolet, Toyota, etc..
Review: How do the automakers get away with naming vehicles sold in early 2004 as a 2005? Nonetheless, I have been driving my 2005 Grand Caravan since March 2004. My previous vehicle was a 2002 Chevrolet Venture van and invariably, the Venture stands as my...

Dodge Grand Caravan is a great family vehicle

Date of Review:  May 11, 2008
The Bottom Line: Great vehicle, trouble free, lots of space, good price, stow and go seats are a great asset and easy to use.
Review: Three years ago I was in the market for a car. I do a lot of driving between my job and frequent trips to visit my parents three hours away. I was a few months away from getting married and adding a husband and stepdaughter to a family that had been...

Beware of the ABS sensors

Date of Review:  Jul 3, 2008
The Bottom Line: Good family van for the money.
Review: I purchased the 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT used, still with a warranty and low miles in March 2007. It has stow-n-go (stow-n-go is compartments in the middle of the van where the floor lifts up and reveals storage space) and for a family of 6 it...

Looks Like A Chrysler, Drives Like A Chrysler, Breaks Like A Chrysler

Date of Review:  Nov 21, 2005
The Bottom Line: Not recommended. Chrysler/domestic appears to be...well, still Chrysler.
Review: Traded in Jeep Grand Cherokee so my wife would have something to haul our 4 kids around in. I looked at the Odyssey & Grand Caravan, and chose the Caravan for the stow & go seating, as I also have weekend cargo needs that extend beyond just the kids...

'05 Grand Caravan is the ONLY one for us.

Date of Review:  May 24, 2005
The Bottom Line: This is a GRAND van to own and I would feel safe recommending it to my best friend. Getting 22 to 26 mph PLUS cargo space.
Review: We traded in our '98 Grand Caravan and leased a 2005 Stow & GO Caravan.
3.8V6 engine --plenty strong for over mountains or hauling things. We live in an old house and haul lumber etc to fix up all the time. I wanted Traction Control (for low...

Reliable and comfortable

Date of Review:  Nov 16, 2005
The Bottom Line: I think for the money its a good well built van that for me has been very reliable. Although Honda makes a superb minivan aswell.
Review: I have the Dodge Caravan short wheelbase model with the 3.3 V6. I don't need the heavy rear seats so I had them removed reducing weight and improving acceleration, handling and fuel economy. I have done a few simple modifications to it to further...
