This car is it. If "it" is being the fastest car under $20,000 dollars. The Srt-4 is based upon the neon platform. It comes equipped with a 2.4L Turbo engine, upgraded drivetrain, upgraded brakes, upgraded suspension, and highly supportive racing style seats. The car is fast. How fast? 0-60 in 5.9 secs, The quarter mile in low 14's. Bone stock. It also has a huge aftermarket support including Mopar upgrades to the engine, suspension, and drivetrain. I love driving it with the windows down and letting that engine howl a sweet,sweet melody to all the boy ricer wannabes eating my dust.

The srt-4 is fast but it shows its econobox roots. Interior pieces are low quality parts bin fare. The rear windows are manually operated. The sound system is sub par at this price range. Driving is a fun experience if only for short periods. Loud engine/road noise makes its way into the cabin at any speed and the exhaust is loud due to the fact there are no mufflers. The seats are great if you are on the thinner side if not opt for the optional regular neon seats. And tight parking lot manuevers? Forget it a 41' turn radius won't let you do much parking lot gymnastics.
