Pros: Excellent handling, great acceleration, roomy interior.

Cons: Short bed

The Bottom Line: If you want extra seating, great ride, great performance and drop dead good looks, this is the truck for you.

I traded in a 2 year old Ram 1500 Quad cab with a 5.2L V8 for the Dakota and have never regretted it. The Dakota rides better, handles better and with it's 4.7L V8 produces more horse power and out performs its big brother. With the full size 60-40 rear seat, I can comfortably carry my wife and 3 kids. This pick-up is the closest to a car as far as ride and handling of any I've ever been in. Yet tough enough to work like the truck it is. The only thing I don't like is the bed length you sacrifice by adding the rear doors. An 8 foot sheet of plywood hangs out 3 feet.
