Even now 86K miles later-STILL LOVE my van!

We bought a 1998 Grand Caravan in June of 1998. I loved it except for the third seat weighting in at a "ton" when you try to get it out of the van and have to lift it. We drove away with a brand new car and the dealer never saw us again except for regular scheduled fluid changes! NO REPAIR except for ONE power steering belt.

VISABILITY very good can judge where the back end is when parking and can see the road well from this height. NOT TOO high just right!

MOTOR: V-6 20+/- mpg mixed--18 city even now 26MPG on trip

TRANSMISSION: All WHEEL DRIVE--LOVE it--other 4 wheel drive cars were stuck and my van walked right up the hill with no trouble even in a white-out snow blizzard! IT was bad outside but this car never once slipped! Trans NEVER FIXED or NEEDED WORK. (BUT did service everytime they said to do it) Changed fluids.
SEVEN PASSENGER--love it for whole family to go in one car! and plenty of leg room.
TWO-ZONE A/C so people in back can select their own A/C temp! Saves arguments!
HEATER/A/C has passenger AND Driver setting! LOVE THAT TOO. (my mom is always cold 86 yrs old)

The only repair was a power steering belt that came off when I was forced off the road into a DEEP water area during a BAD WINTER RAIN STORM. I was doing about 40MPH when forced off the road. Belt Broke car was 3 years old.

Other than the above--this car has never been in the shop! We change the oil every 3,000 faithfully and see to the fluids etc.
Michelin tires and they are lasting forever. On original Rotor pads but new brake linings.

WE really love this car--my mother's wheelchair stands up in the back even with three seats in the car and they fold down and we can change them around as we need them. They even have tabs to HOOK handle plastic bags onto in the back!

I would NEVER go back to a FORD WINDSTAR which was a nightmare from day 1 till we traded it in! LOVE DODGE CARAVAN!
