Beautiful car but......

Pros: Very Roomy, powerful engine.

Cons: Bad location for a car battery. Expensive spare parts. Plagued with electrical problems.

The Bottom Line: Buy yourself a nice European or Japanese car if you want a low maintenance vehicle.

I bought a brand new 1995 Dodge Stratus. The first problem was with the A/C. One of the A/C buttons broke. In order to replace the button, I had to buy the whole A/C control unit.

Front wheel joints and some transmission parts were recalled on this vehicle. To fix some transmission problems, it was cheaper to buy a new transmission for $4,000 than to repair the old one for a much greater price.

The main computer burned causing problems with the starter/coil and alternator. Other problems with the power windows controls and outside rear view mirrors.

Don't try to change the battery yourself. You will know what i mean.
