The ultimate practical family vehicle

by   treetime ,  Aug 28, 2008
Pros: Features, comfort, room, handling, brakes, updated styling
Cons: Hard, light-coloured interior plastics, not quite up to Honda or Toyota build quality
The Bottom Line: Before deciding you need a Sienna or Odyssey, give this a try and save enough money to take the kids on vacation.
Review: Our family purchased a 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT almost three weeks ago, and we’re very happy with the purchase. It’s roomy, comfortable, has a smooth and quiet highway ride, and lots of unique useful features. Much ink has been spilled in ...

Perfect for us

by   anijones ,  Apr 4, 2008
Pros: stow and go, smooth ride
Cons: heavy and hard to close lift gate
The Bottom Line: I would strongly recommend this van to anyone looking for a minivan
Review: We have had this van for 2 months now and it has been wonderful. We bought it when we found out we were expecting our second child and our 04 Mitsubishi Lancer was going to get very crowded with 2 carseats and a double stroller. We are a military ...

Cheap quality, poor handling and fuel economy

by   sophiesdad ,  Mar 21, 2008
Pros: Good visibility - plenty of glass.
Cons: Cheap quality, poor handling, noisy interior
The Bottom Line: Consider Nissan, Toyota, or Ford. This vehicle is poorly designed with obvious corners cut for competitive price.
Review: I had the opportunity to drive the 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan for about 1 week while my VW Jetta was in the body shop. While I was in the hospital, the contractor who was building a new wing to the hospital was spraying concrete and got overspray all over ...

This longtime Mopar minivan partisan is not impressed

by   jn_owensboro ,  May 12, 2008
Pros: Lots of room, flex-fuel capability (in SE models), a great basis for VW's new van
Cons: Cheap materials (SE model), blocky styling, uncomfortable rear seats, VW's van is better
The Bottom Line: If you can afford something nicer, go for it. That's hard to say, loving Mopar minvans as I do, but this one is nothing special.
Review: My family fell hard early on for Chrysler's first minivan nearly 25 years ago. My mother, before she became "Nana," owned four (1985, 1990, 1994 and 1997 models), and each was an incremental improvement over its predecessors. I've owned 1994 and ...

This van has been a joke!

by   sunshinew ,  Feb 9, 2009
Pros: Satalite tv., duel heat, and navigation
Cons: Everything especially transmissions
The Bottom Line: Please save your family the money and hassel, this van just isn't worth it.
Review:    Wow I have been puting off this review, because I don't know where to begin. So I guess I'll try to go from the begining without leaving anything out.   We bought this van back in June of 08, because my car messed up. We ...
