How to Out Fox a Fox!

Being a Children's Library Assistant in a public Library system, I have the distinct privalegde of watching children respond to books. I have several storytimes a week that I get to read books to children and watch them respond.

Last week I did a storytime on Dentists. Dr. DeSoto was a book that I read. The children loved the craftiness of the Dr. Dr. DeSoto is a mouse dentist who works with his wife to assist the animal kingdom in dental hygiene. The only problem is he doesn't treat animals that are dangerous to mice. Until one day a fox with a terrible toothache arrives. The exciting conclusion is when we find out if the fox will eat the mice, or if the mice out fox the fox. This is a great book which also introduces children into some fundamentals of dentistry.
