Goo Goo Good!!

Date of Review: Oct 24, 2000

After the "Superstar Carwash" album and a few tunes on one of the Nightmare on Elm St. soundtracks, these guys had me hooked. Dizzy Up the Girl is a great album. You have to have been living under a rock to not have heard "Iris"; a beautiful song used on the movie soundtrack for City of Angels. But that's not all these "Dolls" can do. "Slide", "Black Balloon", "Broadway", and "Acoustic #3" are all great examples of what this band is capable of. The entire disc is good and very easy to listen to without having to skip any songs (unlike a lot of what's being put out lately). Most people first heard of the Goo Goo Dolls when the album "A Boy Named Goo" came out. If you liked what you heard then, you'll love this one. John, Robby, and Mike have kicked it up a notch for this one, and I can't wait for their next release.

Pros
Great album all around!
Cons
Even I will admit that "Iris" got played WAY too much for it's own good.
