The Kid vs. Sixth Sense

Date of Review:  May 5, 2001
The Bottom Line: Disney's The Kid is fun to watch with the family. But it is also interesting to compare to The Sixth Sense.
Review: Bruce Willis took us into a bit of fantasy when it came to The Sixth Sense. And again, with a very familiar script, does it again with Disney's The Kid. There were so many similarities that it just couldn't be missed.

But before I go into...

Where did you want your life to go? (Disney write off for Emily)

Date of Review:  Oct 15, 2001
The Bottom Line: Entertaining and thought provoking. Witty and whimsical.
Review: You are reading a contribution to the Disney ~*~ When You Wish Upon A Star Write-Off!

Emily Rose, the young daughter (15 months old) of fellow Epinion member, ImAmes, is battling Retniblastoma (a form of cancer, which is found in the...

The ultimate feel-good movie

Date of Review:  Jul 29, 2000
Review: Bruce Willis is an image consultant with $2,000 suits, important clients, and a stubborn tic in the vicinity of his left eye. Despite an absence of anything that could pass for an actual relationship with another human, Willis is satisfied with the...

Bruce Willis Gets in Touch With His Inner Kid

Date of Review:  Mar 8, 2001
The Bottom Line: I wish this film could have been smarter and less silly, but I'll grudgingly admit it was better than I'd thought it would be
Review: There?s nothing finer than watching an overpaid movie actor?especially one with all the high-dollar smirkability of Bruce Willis?get punched in the groin by a waist-high kid. And when that little tyke is Willis? eight-year-old self come forward in...

"When Life Passes The Adult By" - Disney's The Kid

Date of Review:  Mar 18, 2001
The Bottom Line: If You could be face to face with yourself as a child, what do you think you could learn about yourself and your mistakes?
Review: Enchanting, Humorous, Thought Provoking and Heart Warming all describe Disney's The Kid. This movie has charm that can make a young child smile and make a grown adult look at their life in a different light. The comedy present in this feature may...

Disney's The Kid

Date of Review:  Apr 25, 2001
The Bottom Line: Didn't live up the expectations I had of a Disney movie with Bruce Willis.
Review: I love Bruce Willis and consider myself a huge fan. I wanted to see this movie if for no other reason than to see him. He is a wonderful actor and does a great job with this movie just like all his others. The little boy who plays in the movie also...

The word I'm looking for is "shrill"

Date of Review:  Jul 7, 2000
Review: Disney's The Kid, of course, comes emblazoned with the name of its parent company before the title. The name of Bruce Willis is also prominently featured. Perhaps marketers hope that, between the dual name-recognition, audiences will flock to this...

The Kid: Traveling Back and Forth Through Time

Date of Review:  Mar 25, 2002
The Bottom Line: I do not recommend anyone ever to see Disney's The Kid. A pure waste of 101 minutes.
Review: The Kid
2000

Rated PG

The Kid has a very weird beginning and Russell (Russ) Duritz (Bruce Willis) is very cold, and very rude. Face it he has no people skills. Russ is an Image Consultant, so basically he tells...

There Is Something About That Kid

Date of Review:  Jun 17, 2001
The Bottom Line: In this world of strife, it is nice to just sit down, relax, and watch a friendly movie with no bad vibes or heartaches.
Review: It is seldom that my oldest daughter and I disagree about a movie. She couldn't get into it, but I loved it. Because she didn't want to review it, I decided that I would.

It looks like my old pal, Bruce Willis, has decided to give up the...

Deja Vu?

Date of Review:  Jul 25, 2000
Review: This movie was somewhat sweet, but was too reminiscent of so many other "switch" films from the past. But, they were all made in the 70's and 80's, so today's kids will think it's fresh.

This is a Disney film, which means it is being...
