Pros: Drew Carey.
Cons: A bit dark and angry at times.
Review: I actually thought to write this while I was thinking about an "Epinions Prod mailing list" drunk write off that occurred several weeks ago. Well, this is my addition. Sorry I'm late. Fellow members and raters, feel free to dis this and rate...

Pros: Goofy Carey is well-suited to the page; his book is surprisingly intelligent (Okay, so he's not exactly Kurt Vonnegut)
Cons: A lot of profanity. I don't mind it, but some people find it objectionable.
Review: Everyone's got that stereotypical "Uncle Lou" or "Cousin Jimmy" who drinks beer, farts at the dinner table, and tells dirty jokes. Carey is everyone's "Uncle Drew," but with a measure of intelligence that is rare in showbiz...

The Meaning of Life

Pros: Funny and easy to read
Cons: May be offensive to some readers
Review: While Drew Carey chose to name his book two of the most important things in life--dirty jokes and beer, the book isn't entirely just about these things. In fact, the main part of the book is Drew's autobiography. There's a lot of beer there, but there's...

Pros: Shows Drew Carey as himself.
Cons: Doesn't get too much into detail.
Review: My brother recently checked this out of his college library, and I was interested to say the least. You may be turned off by the title, thinking it's just a book filled with jokes and beer, but it's more. It's a look into the life of one of the greatest...

Not as funny as your weekly dose of Drew Carey

Pros: Some funny jokes and inside stories about the Drew Carey Show
Cons: A lot of filler.
Review: This book represents the best and worst of books by comedians. Drew Carey indicates at the start of this book that he didn't want to just compile a bunch of his routines with the help of a ghost writer. So he did it himself. What we get is sometimes...

Pros: Funny, interesting and short
Cons: It's almost too short
Review: I recently read this very funny book. There really aren't that many dirty jokes. However, it is very interesting to get to know Drew on a more personal note. Drew tells about his life growing up as well as life on the set of the Drew Carey show. If...

Drew Carey: Uncut & Uncensored |
|||
|
Pros: Good Humor
Cons: Writing Style is not the best; Vulgarity might offend overly- sensitive readers.
The Bottom Line: Drew's first attempt at writing a book is pretty good, full of humor and insightful wit
Review: Cleveland native Drew Carey (no relation to me....as far as I know!) is a well- known stand up comic and actor/star of the television comedy series "The Drew Carey Show" and host of the variety show "Whose Line is it, Anyway". Carey wrote this book,...

Pros: Offers insight into Drew Carey's personality, funny at times, great short stories at the end.
Cons: Not always funny, can be offensive
The Bottom Line: Although there are some great short stories at the end of the book, this book isn't very funny, and there are a few offensive chapters. Maybe it's just guy humor.
Review:
What's the difference between a group of very smart pygmies and a women's track team? One is a bunch of cunning runts... Taking a cue from Drew Carey's book "Dirty Jokes and Beer: Stories of the Unrefined", I... |

Pros: the jokes
Cons: waiting for another joke
Review: I have been a Drew Carey fan for many a years. I was recently browsing around my neighborhood Borders Books and Music store. As I usually do, I headed straight to the bargain book table. There I found Drew Carey's Dirty Jokes and Beer. I decided to buy...
