I had filthy floors and did not know it!

By now you all know that we came from England. Sold our house and furniture and arrived here with 3 tea chests and 4 suitcases. Obviously we had to start over and buy everything. That was 13 years ago. We bought a Eureka upright vacuum and it was still going strong 9 months ago. We had seen on television and in the newspapers, bagless vacuum cleaners with hepa filters. We decided that when they came below $200 we would purchase one.
We love to go to "Sams Club" and they had a great offer on. Dirt Devil MVP swivel glide Vacuum M086420 for $179. The best part of this deal included a free Dirt Devil corded hand vac worth $39. We jumped with delight and purchased it immediately.
My husband loves to hoover as we call it in England. It's like band aides over here. People call a product by the most popular brand name. He tried it out. We have 1,700 square feet of area. He completely filled the canister where the dirt and dust fills up. I looked at him and said, "Boy we could have grown mushrooms in this carpet".
It has a 12 amp. motor, much better than our last one. The swivel caster wheels are great for turning and twisting. It gets into corners and around furniture easily. The bumper helps to protect the furniture and appliances. The tools are on board for easy access. The hose extends out to around 13 feet for getting behind beds and sofas. It also has a headlight for getting into those dark areas.
I have allergies so this was one of the main reasons I purchased it. The Hepa filter traps approximately 99.7% of pollen, dust and allergens. Whenever I dust I sneeze like crazy. I figured this would lessen my problem.
When I had my old machine I used to vacuum the carpet and then sweep the hard floors. This product has 7 floor settings. 2 for bare floors, 3 for regular pile carpet, and 2 for high pile. This is great for us.
Near the handle in the front of the machine is a performance indicator. Here you can check that the filters are spinning.
It is easy to empty. Just click down on the top of the clear vision area and lift out. Tip into bin and you are ready for action again.
It also come with a 2 year warranty.
I love this vacuum because my husband uses it and it does a wonderful job.
If I have a hate at all, it would be that when I use it on occasions, I do find it hard to push. It says on the machine that it has easy push swivel casters, but I must be a wimp.
I am rating this a 4 because I feel that frail people might have difficulty using it.
