The Turbo Vac!

We bought this Dirt Devil Ultra hand vacuum after we
became frustrated with how much dog hair we had on our
sofas, wood floor, and stairs. Our stand up Dirt Devil
MVP vacuum was great, but it wasn't getting the job done
and we needed a machine that we could easily use on
the couches and the small crevices of the stairs. We
had many hand vacs in the past but they had no power
and would not suck up the hair like we needed
them to. We needed a vac with turbo power!

We tried the Dirt Devil because we had many of
their products and found they were of high quality and
value. The Dirt Devil Ultra is bright red like all of
the other Dirt Devils. It is made of sturdy plastic and
well made components. It is extremely small and light
weight considering the jobs it can accomplish. It was very
easy to put together and the hoses and extra tools fit
nicely on the vacuum. Occasionally the hose will come
loose while I am vacuuming, but you just snap it back
on. Overall, the entire vacuum is very small and compact.

It is interesting how you use the hose when you are
not using the revolving brush. I rotate the front cover
down to cover the brush and the air automatically shifts
to the hose or crevice tool. The hose is very powerful
and is great at getting into small corners. There is a
convenient loop on the vacuum for the 20 foot power
cord storage which is nice.

To change the cloth bag that collects the dirt, it is a quick
and simple process. You pull the bag off, and install a new
cloth or paper one by securing it with clips. The bags are
inexpensive and can be found at Walmart. The brush roll
occasionally gets tangled with hair or debris but it is
very easy to clean, unlike conventional large vacuums.
You can also easily replace the brush roll after many
uses if it becomes worn.

Overall, I love this hand vac. It is not as convenient
as a cordless vac, but is much more powerful and that is
what matters to us. The Dirt Devil is easy to use and
will pretty much clean up any mess quickly. We paid
about $40 for it and it was worth every penny, especially
when we have to follow a shedding dog around the house.
