The Bottom Line: Good for small clean ups, clogs easily.
Having just moved in to a home with all hardwood floors, I found myself sweeping th floors daily to clean up hair from my constantly shedding Black Lab. Besides growing weary of sweeping and then picking up the hair with a dust pan, I noticed that often sweeping would leave a lot of hair behind. So rather than lug my huge heave full size vacuum out, I purchased the "broom" vac, which seemed like an ideal solution.
It's not a bad concept, and I suppose if you are only using it to occasionally clean up a small mess, or perhaps use it on hardwood stairs, etc, for minor dust and dirt then it would be great. But to pick up hair from a shedding dog, well, not so much.
The suction power just isn't there. And it clogs easily. And while it has a rather large compartment to hold dust and dirt, etc the dust and dirt and hair never seem to make it into that compartment. Rather, it builds up right around the filter and blocks the path, thus killing the vacuum.
So, in a nutshell, for a quick clean up it probably isn't bad. But for my purpose it just doesn't cut it.
