Great for stairs

We have stone floors and wood floors. Also, four flights of stairs because the house is on a steep hill. I was sick of sweeping mess from the top floor all the way down a billion stairs and having allergenic dust and dirt fly all over with little cleaning effect. I was sick of trying to use the brush and wand and dragging around a very heavy vacuum cleaner, which would fall downstairs half the time, damaging the wood. The stone kitchen floor is always a wreck with kids' cereal (which they reliably step on and grind into fine crunchy dust). For small daily cleanups and the stairs, I have not been disappointed with this product. One caveat: You can't sweep with the same various angles and motion you would if you were using a regular broom. I've found it works best when held almost directly vertically upright. This takes a little getting used to. I really like its light weight and portability, and selected it partly for those reasons. My two complaints echo those of other consumers: long charging time leads to very short battery power; the filter is positioned so that the opening of the intake flap gets blocked almost immediately. When you clean it, you must hold onto the container part tightly. The container snaps on good and tight, but when you pop it off using the release button on the side, it jumps off forcefully. The first time I did it, the container flew right into the trash can I was holding it over, resulting in a mess; I had to stick my hand into the gunk to retrieve it.
