4 lbs doesn't sound like much BUT!

I bought a Dirt Devil to see if it would make cleaning up after my birds and cats easier. I have arthritis in my wrist and shoulders and the broom was killing me. I got a blue one and found it cuter enough for what it is. It had some charge in it but I followed directions and charged it for a full 24 hrs before I used it. It can be used like a regular broom, but does not work as well. Using it for what it was made for took some practice. The broom/vac combo has to be held straight up to suck up the dirt etc. It did what it was supposed to. I liked it, BUT. My use of it has to be very limited. Most of the 4 lbs weight is in the bottom and makes it feel heavier after only a few minutes of use. I also found the price (got it at Wal Mart) to be high considering its limitations and what it is.
