Direct Concept Magic Bullet 7712 Single-Speed Handheld Blender

I bought this product at Bed, Bath, and Beyond with a coupon. I used it to make vegetable puree, and it worked well at first. Within a month, the crossblade broke. This is the blade used for practically everything. I called customer service to purchase a new one, but they "couldn't verify the barcode" that they put on the bottom of my machine. So in order to buy a new crossblade, I'm supposed to send them pictures of the top, bottom, front, and back of the machine, plus the front and back cover of the instruction manual, plus the limited warranty page. Then, supposedly someone will call me. All this to BUY a replacement part that shouldn't have broken in the first place. I don't think so.
