Digital Rebel XT

This was my first dSLR. I love it. If you want a camera to take pictures in good light and to carry everywhere, you'll be much happier with a point-and-click digicam. However, if you want to great pictures in almost any light without a flash, freeze fast action, or take long exposures, and you're not a seasoned pro, this is a fantastic camera.

Easy to pick up without prior SLR experience. Great battery life when not using flash.
Cons
Body could be more solid.
