Digital Rebel XT : The 350D is a Smaller Rebel with More Firepower!

Date of Review:  Apr 16, 2005
The Bottom Line: The Digital Rebel XT is a quality camera that should satisfy amateurs and professionals alike. Excellent features for the price!
Review: For a little more than the past year, I have been moving towards dSLR cameras. I had invested into quite a bit of money into Canon Point and Shoot digital cameras so I was most comfortable with Canon products and their quality... which is especially...

The Good and the Bad things about the Canon Rebel XT -- my review

Date of Review:  Jun 27, 2005
The Bottom Line: bottom line is image quality, and features, and it delivers. forthe money the rebel xt can't be beat.
Review: I have read many reviews about this camera, and in many of the reviews, the reviewer have either criticized the Rebel XT for it's small size, or said the Rebel XT must not be a professional level camera because it's too cute, or too small, WTF?

Second time's the charm, in more ways than one.

Date of Review:  Jun 25, 2005
The Bottom Line: Any camera that's better than the Rebel XT in meaningful ways probably costs twice as much, so the Rebel XT is the entry-level digital SLR to beat.
Review: When Canon introduced the original Digital Rebel (aka EOS-300D), I was pleased to see the price of DSLRs marching downward, but I wasn't in a position to buy one. Furthermore, I was really holding out for 8 megapixels, having once been asked by a...

Rebel XT is worth the time and money

Date of Review:  Apr 15, 2006
The Bottom Line: If photography is becoming a hobby for you -- this is a great choice. Some Pros and beginners will find it lacking for various reasons.
Review: For the past two years I have enjoyed using the Canon A80. I think that was a great camera but the last 6 months I have really been bothered by its limitations. The camera can be slow to focus indoors and that did not really bother me when my son...

Don't look at the XT/350D as a dated sibling to the XTi/400D

Date of Review:  Jan 24, 2008
The Bottom Line: Fantastic camera for anybody looking for an entry level SLR. Take the cash saved and put it towards better lens or lenses.
Review: Although many may assume that the latest and greatest would be the preferred route to take, don't immediately dismiss the Rebel XT 350D. This is a wonderful camera with terrific prices anywhere you look. The 400D is equally awesome, but consider the...

Great camera for new SLR user

Date of Review:  Jul 28, 2007
The Bottom Line: This camera is perfect for a better than average amateur looking for their first digital SLR.
Review: This camera is fabulous for a user that's new to SLRs. It's fully automated for when you first start, then you can start using other features as you learn them. You can make it so simple for a newby and incredibly complicated for a more advanced...

Giant leap for the Canon D - Rebel 350D

Date of Review:  Aug 2, 2006
The Bottom Line: Giant leap from older Rebel 300D, very nice features, great pictures, great interface
Review: I bought the original Canon Digital Rebel (300D) almost the same month it came out. I was extremely happy with it and I made many wonderful photos with the camera. Alas, one night my home was burglarized and I found myself without a camera.

Picture Brick

Date of Review:  Apr 19, 2008
The Bottom Line: If your point and click doesn't do it for you and you want something more, seriously consider getting this camera.
Review: Just to give you a little background, I'm not a professional photographer, or even a "photo enthusiast," matter of fact, if you start talking about what settings you used to get some effect on some picture, my eyes will glaze over, and I could very...

Date of Review:  Aug 17, 2008
The Bottom Line: Out of camera's, this will be your best investment!

Great for the beginning photographer

Date of Review:  Dec 28, 2007
The Bottom Line: I'd definitely recommend this for the photo enthusiast, someone just getting into digital SLRs, or as a backup camera for the professional.
Review: I purchased this camera in 2005, after my film Canon Rebel XT was stolen. I researched brands and lenses, prices, megapixels, more prices, and much more before sinking a good portion of my pay into a camera. The only thing I could say was... WOW!...
