A better sequel?

If you thought that the original "Die Hard" was good, look out because this one's got even more action, more one-liners, more fun, and even more plot holes.

The movie starts out fairly passive, we get to meet our hero John McClane (Willis) who's waiting at Dulles Airport to meet his wife's plane. But wouldn't you know it, those darn terrorists just happen to be there and cease control of the entire airport if their demands aren't met. How they could actually take over an airport as big as Dulles is beyond me, but if I sat here and picked apart the script and characters, I wouldn't enjoy the movie.

Besides all the explosions, machine gun battles, and hand to hand combat fights, what really helped this film is a good cast. Willis' wife from the first film returns, along with a few other good characters such as Robert Patrick in a small role only a year before he did T2, John Amos as the tower coordinator, and of course, Dennis Franz as the big mouthed head cop at the airport. The cast elevates this sequel which is actually better than its predecessor in most ways.
