Pros: Gasoline, Drunk with the Thought of You, Detours, Love Is All There Is"
Cons: Diamond Ring, Make It Go Away
The Bottom Line: Listen to the whole thing. Nah, skip the two crappy songs.
Review: Sheryl Crow rescues her career by turning to Bill Bottrell, her music partner from her first watershed album, Tuesday Night Music Club. Ive liked a lot of her work since then, but she hasnt produced a CD like that one since she and ...

Pros: Impressive production, thought-provoking, well-written songs, the Sheryl we know and love is back!
Cons: Could have been trimmed by a few songs?
The Bottom Line: The bottom line is breaking into a refinery and can't be reached for comment.
Review: It's been three years since Sheryl Crow gave us her last studio album, Wildflowers. A lot has happened to Crow in that time: she and Lance Armstrong called off their engagement, Sheryl was diagnosed with breast cancer (and is ...

Pros: Excellent writing, passionate performances, it's the Sheryl Crow we know and love only better.
Cons: Shine Over Babylon isn't as relatable but it's a small complaint.
The Bottom Line: Sheryl Crow has always been a good songwriter and she comes back with one of the best albums of her career.
Review: When Sheryl Crow released Wildflowerin 2005 I tried my absolute hardest to like that album but only managed to get lukewarm feelings for it. Wildflower was her art album which unfortunately for her translated into boring. So when I heard ...

Pros: Great lyrics, Interesting instrumentals, Decent vocals
Cons: A little short, Frontloaded
The Bottom Line: With new memorable tunes that are, sadly, thematically dated, Sheryl Crow bursts back out with "Detours" and proves her ascendancy was not a fluke!
Review: As part of my continual immersion into music from new-to-me musical artists, I occasionally have the opportunity to pick up an artist whose works I once enjoyed and yet have not explored for some time. Never before has this worked out so well for me as ...

Pros: Good old fashioned rock and roll and some fine songwriting for good measure.
Cons: The anti war songs. Crow over steps her vocal range on a few tracks
The Bottom Line: The evolution of Sheryl Crow. Her best work yet, Crow's songwriting has never been better.
Review: "Detours" is the newest arrival from rock and roll maven Sheryl Crow and it seems to have the same virtues as most of Crow's other offerings. That is to say, Crow can can manage to sound heartbreakingly sincere and completely self serving all in the ...
