Author's Review
I had spent nearly 6 months monitoring the market for audio visual equipment for a new home cinema system. After viewing a number of DVD players I took the plunge for the Denon 2910. I had it up a running for 2 weeks now and I'm delighted with my choice. I've only used the player for movies. The picture quality is stunning, coming very close to the quality of certain other players retailing at £1,200. For some reason the picture quality and sound was better once set up at home than in the demonstration room I tested it. I suspect this was because of the HDMI cable I invested in and the dynamics of my lounge. The clarity of picture in Return of the King was simply sensational, both in action sequences and dark surroundings.
One word of warning. This DVD player is so accurate that poor quality DVDs will be found out. That is a positive in my eyes.
I can't offer any opinions on music reproduction as I haven't tested it yet.
