Fine until it needs service

Pros: Nicely built player with good sound/recording.

Cons: No support/service from Denon in large city (San Diego).

My 1500 was as good as described in the other reviews. Then the logic and controls went bad. I can live with this after having it for 2 years, but then the real problem.

Denon doesn't have a single authorized service center in San Diego, Ca. Not one. A city of 1.5 million people and no support. My only option is to ship the player to another city. For a $600 player, it failed pretty quickly I think as well.

If you live in San Diego, I wouldn't buy any Denon product period.
