Only thing better is separates!

The Bottom Line: This is a great receiver if you want to upgrade without breaking the bank!
This is an awesome receiver! The price I paid reflects a 10% frequent buyer discount I got from the salesman since I have made several purchases including a $5000 Sony XBR LCD HDTV. I use it for my 5.1 system in my living room. Very smooth sound, and plenty of power. The menus can be a little cumbersome to navigate at first, but by the time you set up all of the particulars and tweak things, you'll have gained full command anyway. Controlling speakers in multiple rooms is a little bit of a challenge to learn. And in order to find out how to view TV and listen to a CD or something required a phone call to Denon; and even at that I had to speak to the department head to find out how to do that specific task (which 'yes' it can be done easily once you know how). Otherwise, it's a very intuitive system. The speaker self setup works great! I only made slight adjustments to what the receiver did on it's own in seconds. At a fraction of what separates cost, this receiver will satisfy most people for certain. I've had mine for 1 year without any problems and I'm in love. I am very particular when it comes to sound and picture reproduction and I am completely satisfied.
