Denise Austin 30 Minute Target Toner
Pros:
Great time-saving workout for beginner level exercisers
Cons:
No weights used, so very limited amount of toning in the upper body
The Bottom Line:
I would recommend it for beginner exercisers-it is not advanced enough for people wanting a lot of definition in their muscles.

Author's Review
This is an older video I have used off and on since I was in high school 8 or 9 years ago.
I normally do a much harder workout with more focus on the upper body and with weights, but I keep this and have used it to slowly get back to exercising after both of my children, or on days I do not feel well and do not feel like anything too harsh.
It is great for beginners and older exercisers, and is toning, not aerobics, so there is no tricky choreography. Because of its age, you will have to ignore the older style leotards and hairdos of Denise and her friends, and the instrumental older 1980's music.
This video consists of 30 minutes of very light toning moves, such as shoulder rotations, lunges, waistline twists and reaches, and calf raises. There is also a few biceps and triceps moves, but since they are done without weights, I deem those moves pretty much useless. They move on to some floor moves for the abs, hips, and thighs, which are a touch harder-you can do some effective moves for those body parts without weights, because they use larger amounts of body weight as resistance. These moves consist of crunches, leg lifts, and bridge work for the buns.
This is a decent video, but it is one of Denise's older ones, before she reallly got into more defining workouts such as weight training and Pilates. It is better than not exercising at all, or great for a beginner wanting to ease into regular exercise, but those of us who already do regularly are not going to get a challenge.
If you are already a regular exerciser, and want more definition, then I would recommend Denise Austin's Shortcuts or Hit the Spot Videos instead. I totally love Denise Austin, and think that her workouts and body have much improved with age-so you are better off getting one of her newer workouts.
