Great Unless It Breaks Discontinued Parts :(

The Bottom Line: Dont buy unless you can afford to replace it if it breaks.
I bought this microwave when re-doing my kitchen. I had a perfectly good microwave but I wanted a white microwave and I had read good things about the microwave. I bought it from overstock.com for 73.99. I was please with the product, especially the microwave popcorn was always perfect! The tuesday before thanksgiving my husband went to heat something up and the mircowave just died. We tired everything, we could and it was dead. This is less then 8 months after buying it. The next morning we tried calling delonghi but they took a 5 day holiday so I had to wait till the following monday. I contacted overstock and they were very nice, they tried contacting delonghi with no luck. On Monday I called Delonghi and they gave me the name of the only authorized warranty service center in Utah. I called the center and the manager said, that he knew exactly what the problem was because he had seen at least 10 that month with the same problem and because the product is made in italy it takes 6 weeks to get parts. He could not give my another microwave just order the part and wait. I called delonghi back and they explained that this is a discontined microwave , the company discontinued it because it was having so many problems and liquadated the extras to several websites like overstock. They dont make parts anymore and that Im basically stuck no microwave. If you get this microwave and it works great, but if you have a problem you will be buying a new microwave:( I wish I had keept my old microwave because no microwave on thanksgiving was hard! I have to say that Overstock.com did try everything they could, the customer service manager even called me from home to see if they could do anything more.
