FROM THE FRYING PAN INTO THE .... WELL, CERTAINLY NOT THE FIRE!

Date of Review:  Jun 18, 2004
The Bottom Line: It really makes frying easier and cleaner. What a thrill to cook things and get them done right the first time and every time!
Review: The deep fryer I had was already hitting its 10 birthday. Yes it still worked, but it looked like it was 10 years old. I felt I was ready for a new one.

With so many on the market, I wanted one that would make my life easier – but did such...

We Make our OWN Tortillas chips!

Date of Review:  Apr 3, 2001
The Bottom Line: Go to Amazon.com and type in Delonghi Fryers in the search. This model is the "Cool Touch"...they have a nice photo of it there.
Review: Okay...so no biggie...but it is fun to make a batch of fresh tortilla chips now. In fact....deep frying anything is a piece of cake. Donuts, burritos, chicken, french fries and more....we have cooked them all in the Delonghi Deep Fryer.

No more fires!

Date of Review:  Dec 11, 2000
Review: After a particularly nasty kitchen fire, caused by someone dropping a basket of wet chips into the hot oil rather rapidly, (yes, that would be me), it was decided that a fryer with a lid and definitely a plug in, was to be placed on the shopping...

After a fire in our home...

Date of Review:  Feb 14, 2000
Review: We had a fire in our home 6 years ago because my husband left a pan of grease on the stove and went out. We lost nearly everything. A grease fire is devistating even if it doesn't leave the kitchen because it smokes for a long time before...

No More Mess - revised

Date of Review:  Jul 1, 2000
Review: revised

I admit it, we love fried foods. No matter how much we tell ourselves to eat more healthily, my fiancee and I keep coming back to fried foods. Recently we saw an episode of one of our favorite cooking shows, "Good Eats," that was...

~~ DO YOU WANT FRIES WITH YOUR DELONGHI COOL TOUCH ROTO DEEP FRYER? ~~

Date of Review:  Jan 26, 2008
The Bottom Line: If you must fry, do it the healthy way!
Review: Normally, I am on a fried food ban...I hate feeling sluggish and unhealthy, but after trying french fries at one of my friends home with the DeLonghi Cool Touch Roto Deep Fryer, I decided to buy one of my own! My kids love fried food, but I do...

An asset to the kitchen

Date of Review:  Aug 10, 2002
The Bottom Line: Glad to have this as part of my kitchen tool kit. It works really well and adds a new dimension to my cooking
Review: This is a good kitchen tool. I'm glad I bought it but I must admit I'm just learning what to cook and not cook in it. Being vegetarian I really wanted to make deep fried tofu but learned you need to use the kind that's extra firm or you need to dry...

Diminutive DeLonghi Gets it Right

Date of Review:  Aug 15, 2009
The Bottom Line:

Avoided frying because it's not worth the trouble? Try this well-designed fryer and think anew.  Despite unnecessarily harsh opinions against fried foods, gourmands know the way to their loved-one's heart.

Review: Like many, I have avoided frying because of the mess and smell--though I am fortunate that larger love-handles don't seem to happen to me.  Fried chicken, fritters, appetizers, and gourmet additions to dinner plates are all fun.  But I avoided the...

Much better than stovetop frying

Date of Review:  Jan 18, 2009
The Bottom Line:

Probably the best residential unit on the market.  Minimal mess, extremely easy to use.

Review: If you find yourself deep frying even occasionally, the DeLonghi D895UX is a good alternative to hot oil on a stovetop.  Actually, it's one of the better residential deep fryers.  Years ago, I had a Fry Daddy unit, which was basically just a small...

Mom, is the chicken ready yet?

Date of Review:  May 1, 2002
The Bottom Line: The DeLonghi Rotating Deep Fryer makes an excellent wedding gift for couples; however, I would not recommend it for families larger than 3.
Review: I purchased the DeLonghi Rotating Deep Fryer F-895 after reading the excellent reviews in magazines and on line and liked the fact that you didn't have to use as much oil as the traditional fryers. I don?t tolerate reheated oil very well so I only...
