Sleek, reliable, powerful - money well spent! The price was right, too. It was a 2007 New Year's Resolution to buy a Dell laptop because I am an on-line instructor. I must have reliable technology in order to do my job, so this isn't the area to cut corners.
I am very satisfied with this purchase. Even my cat loves this laptop because of the graphics. The pictures are so clear on the monitor that my pet tries to catch the fish on the screen saver.
The media capabilities are terrific. The crisp, clear graphics and vivid colors that are produced on the screen are terrific. The sound is clear and the speed of delivery - whether downloading pages or sending messages - is everything I have ever wanted. Typing on the keyboard is a dream. At first the touch mouse was difficult to adjust to, but it gets easier; I just had to get used to it.
The Dell Inspiron E1705 is easily stored anywhere-I keep it in the cabinet of my media center. Plus it is lightweight and easy to handle. When I'm on the go, I can depend on my laptop to connect with the rest of the world. Another reason I bought this laptop was because of Dell's reputation, and the features listed. The Dell Owners Manual is installed on the computer so this is easily accessible. I'm having a difficult time getting my wireless network to work with this laptop. It's picking up other wireless services in the area, but for some reason won't recognize mine. Windows keeps trying to validate its identity, whatever that means. But I'm confident this matter will be resolved soon. As much grief as I've had connecting the laptop to my wireless network, I would purchase this laptop again without hesitation.
