Excellent 17 inch for the money
Pros:
Good image/text quality, height/swivel adjustments, digital capability, great price when discounts offered.
Cons:
Slow response time of 25 ms. Dell prices fluctuate like the stock market
The Bottom Line:
Buy it if you can get it for under $400.

Author's Review
I just purchased this monitor for $329.00, after much shopping around. It offers the most features and quality for the money. Unfortunately, with Dell, you constantly have to search the internet each day (or sign up to get alerts from websites posting good deals)to make sure that you can catch it right with Dell.
Right now, only days after my purchase, Dell raised the price to $399.00 I chose this monitor instead of Dell's less expensive 17 inch LCD (the E173FP), because it offers height and swivel adjustments, has higher a contrast ratio, and offers digital capability.
By the numbers, contrast ratio is near the top of the class for 17 inch LCDs, but response time is on the slower side at 25 ms, which is probably why Dell doesn't post it on their tech specs.
Image and text quality are good (I do a lot of photo/ video editing and web design). Easy to set-up.
By the way, if you don't care about height/swivel adjustments, higher contrast ratio, and digital capability, but still want a quality monitor for less money, try the Dell E173FP which is offered for $339.00 but I believe there is still a $90 or $100 discount coupon that you can use till the end of this month.
