I got my A940 on Dec 1st 2003. I LOVE it.
Pros:
Matches you DELL computer, small footprint, VERY simple to use, Fairly Inexpensive. Dell Support
Cons:
No backlight for LCD, "DELL only" Ink available online only, kinda loud when printing.
The Bottom Line:
I know you've read the other reviews, but based on my experience so far, its GREAT, (though not perfect) if you need an inexpensive "ALL-In-One" printer

Author's Review
I ordered my printer BEFORE reading the DELL forums and the reviews on Epinions.Com, and quite frankly was afraid I'd made a HUGE mistake..
I've used it alot this week, tried everything except the fax (Couldn't think of anything to fax!) Everything has worked perfectly.
It does pull the paper in at a slight angle as many people will point out, which is disconcerting, but it comes out straight, and the printing is straight. I copied a couple of DVD covers on the included FREE samples of photo paper. The results were Outstanding (Lara Croft never looked hotter!!), considering how inexpensive this AIO is/was.
Everything hooked up/installed without a hitch. My XP computer (DELL 4600C)has all the latest XP updates installed,if this accounts for the ease of installation, I don't know. The A940 is also very simple to use, my owners manual is still sealed. Usually "ONE" button will do whatever you need done. (copy, scan, print)
Unless something drastic happens, I can't do anything, but RECOMMEND the A940 if you need an inexpensive "All In One".
I think i've even come up with a workaround for having to buy "DELL only" ink online. (NO, not refilling) I'll post it here if it works out.
