Deep Impact Hits Emotions Hard

The Bottom Line: Emotional well-made film which actually shows the result of a comet hitting the earth and the effect it has on the people themselves.
Review: Diaster flicks of the late 90's and beyond mostly treated the event not seriously at all and just used it to show pretty special effects. They also didn't show you the true human result of a tradegy and a Extinction Level Event.

Deep Impact is Armageddon with brains

The Bottom Line: Deep Impact is Armageddon with more brains and more sappy feelings. If you like coping with disaster, you'll like this movie.
Review: Deep Impact, which came out the same year as Armageddon, is the "smarter" of the two asteroid-coming-to-destroy-earth films. It presents a far more intelligent look at how would the US face a possible E.L.E, or extinction level event.
