Works well

I have not had the experience of the other poster. I admit the hose is not great, but if you follow the directions, it should last several years. The two hoses don't have to be used. The second hose takes outside air which supposedly makes the unit work better. The fact that you don't have to constantly empty the drip pan is a really nice feature. In the Smartmode, the unit adjusts the rotary compressor and fan speed to maintain constant temperature. When I compared this to the other units, I was sold. This is a very quiet unit due to the rotary compressor. A one year warranty on all parts and labor with a four year parts only on all other pieces.
