DeLonghi DE400P Dehumidifier

If you like misery, abuse and feeling like a fool; buy a DeLonghi. My units contols failed giving me a preprogramed Error Code 1&2 which requires you to call DeLonghi per the owners manual. DeLonghi said they could not tell me the meaning of the codes and said only an authorized service center could advise me. I then discovered that Delonghi will not sell you any internal parts for their products. If their product fails you have to bring or ship it to a scarce number of service centers that are not often convieniently located for most buyers; then wait endlessly for parts to arrive, hope the cost of repairs and shipping do not exceed the cost of a new one and hope you get it back working before you have a mushroom farm in your premise. If you succeed in getting it back working you now get a generous 90 day warranty as a demonstration of confidence in the reliabilty of their product and repairs. This was my first and last DeLonghi. I will never buy or specify their products again unless they realy turn things around. Buyer Beware!
