Pretty Insightful Book

As with any Dave Barry book, it can be rather difficult to glean any relevant information from his writings. Dave Barry's foray into Japanese culture and society seemed like a really good, really funny travel guide. I have no idea how on target his observations are, but there is something that really left a mark in my memory...

Near the end of the book, Mr. Barry relates a story about a japanese boy who looks at Dave with fear because Dave isnt Japanese. If anything, this books shows the pitfalls of conforming to society's dictates.

It's a great book to read, and on top of the travel guide thing, it also sounds a bit like a daily journal.
