Epinions For King and Country

by  nomad40,  May 6, 2003
Pros: Fun, expansive game world, endless interactions, roleplay with people from all over the world
Cons: Occasional disconnects, uneven patching, annoying people
The Bottom Line: Get this game. It is that good. Period.
Review: I am an old school gamer. From my early years when I could be found navigating a theif thru the dark alleys of a D&D game to present day when my computer costs more than some cars I have revelled in the ability to escape my cares and woes in the fantasy...

Epinions The First of it's Type to Get It Right

by  DavidGriffiths,  Jan 10, 2003
Pros: Complex social context, limitless challenge fighting monsters, or other players
Cons: Monthly subscription, can be addictive
The Bottom Line: A challenging massively multiplayer game that creates a complex social weave. Fight monsters, or fight players from other realms; the possibilities are endless.
Review: I find it really tough to review something as large and subjective as a Massively Multi-Player Online Game (MMPOG). The amount of content and potential in a game like this dwarfs almost every other game and genre out there.

I’ve played a...

Epinions DAoC: The only game you'll ever need!

by  nickware,  Aug 7, 2002
Pros: Very fun, huge world, group-based game encourages other to help you.
Cons: VERY addicting. $10.95 - $12.95 per month, but worth it.
The Bottom Line: Dark Age of Camelot is the best MMORPG out there. You won't be disappointed!
Review: WARNING: Once you start playing Dark Age of Camelot (DAoC), it will consume most of your time and you will lose the desire to play other games!

Epinions DAoC, promising but not really living up to its potential yet.

by  silverwolf60,  Aug 6, 2002
Pros: 3 realms with very different classes, structured pvp conflict, visually appealing, good soundtrack
Cons: time sink, limited content, hard to learn what you will need later on your own
The Bottom Line: I don’t know if I would recommend this game to someone else, had a blast, but I’d have to tell them to expect to roll with the punches.
Review: I was one of the masses who bought this game on release, and I'm one of the few from that era that is still playing. Dark Age of Camelot had and still has tons of potential to blow everyone else out of the water in the MMORPG market. The game has some...

Epinions All Around Improvement To Dark Age of Camelot

by  DavidGriffiths,  Jan 12, 2003
Pros: Improved graphics, one new race two new classes per realm, new continent to explore.
Cons: A decent expansion, but a bit overpriced, no free play-time.
The Bottom Line: A good expansion, but unless you've exhausted Dark Age of Camelot, you'd be better off waiting. The graphics improvements are almost enough to justify the price, but not quite.
Review: Mythic released The Shrouded Isles to build on the success of Dark Age of Camelot (DAoC), arguably the most successful Massively Multi-Player On line Game (MMPOG). If you are not familiar with Dark Age of Camelot, feel free to check my Epinion at

Epinions A Change of Heart =)

by  JRR006,  May 18, 2002
Pros: Good graphics, good control configuration, great atmosphere.
Cons: Weak sound at times, main cities can be laggy.
The Bottom Line: Dark Age of Camelot is a great starting point for those wanting to venture into the world of online gaming.
Review: To be perfectly honest... I'm not fond of RPGs. I'm what some consider a brainless FPS player through and through. I like seeing things blow up when I hit a button, running around mindlessly jamming down whatever key fires my strongest weapon....

Epinions DAoC - The best MMORPG in the business.

by  Draugnar,  Jun 8, 2007
Pros: Variety of skills, roles, and races.
Cons: Some of the classes are a little too powerful and others have serious limitations.
The Bottom Line: Love it and will continue to play. I would recommend it to anyone interested in fantasy role-playing.
Review: Dark Age of Camelot is a great game that allows its residents to play any role they desire: merchant / manufacturer, soldier / mercenary, or explorer. With numerous races and more being added all the time in expansion packs, the possibilities are mind ...

Epinions DAoC - An Excellent Epic Mythical Adventure

by  dellist,  Oct 15, 2002
Pros: Excellent character customization, huge worlds, trade skills, 3 different realms
Cons: Unbalanced classes, SLOW level gains after level 20-25, point and kill gets boring
The Bottom Line: If you're into the medieval scene & you've got some time to kill, DAoC can be a great treat. I recommend this title to intelligent, mature, & hardcore RPG gamers.
Review: My Experience
When I first purchased the Dark Age of Camelot, I rushed home to create an account. It only took about ten minutes from the start of installation until I was standing in a huge new fantasy world! Of course, I had a credit card...

Epinions Trials of Atlantis killed DAoC

by  jkallman,  Dec 13, 2003
Pros: Nice scenery, decent farming/hunting for lvl 45+
Cons: Bad storyline, lots of unreachable content for casual gamers, still really a beta release
The Bottom Line: TOA: Don't buy it unless you are a hardcore gamer or explorer DAoC: The best MMORPG on the market for the time being
Review: A little harsh in the title, but pretty true all in all. The newly released expansion for DAoC, named Trials of Atlantis introduces an entirely new continent to the Camelot world, that of the mythical Atlantis. Here you will find riches beyond your ...
