Author's Review
First of all Mike had 'Off the wall,' a good attempt for a first solo album, and i admit it was very good in areas. 'Thriller' was the second album, biggest selling album ever!' It just could have been so much better, some songs left know last effect. 'Bad' was the third album and already was better then the two previous attempts at albums.
And now onto 'Dangerous.' Could Jackson improve once again? Could he produce a whole album of fantastic songs? Read on to find out, as I have taken the scores not just from myself but from ten other people in a small servey I conducted.
TRACKS:-
Jam 10/10
This is the opening song, and is the best openning song from all of Jackson albums, it has real power and drive, and really raises the roof. Cons for this track, there are none, excellent hip - hop electro beat throughout, banging song!
Why you wanna trip on me 10/10
This song takes a long time to get going but when it does it is very strong and beaty. The hook, is fantastic and you can hear yourself singing it again and again. The songs ending could have been better though.
In the closet 10/10
This song has great power and fantastic emotion, it brings you right into the world of Jacksons mind, about love. And is backed with great chourus and superb singing.
She drives me wild 10/10
The beat is a little to over power for the verus, I find you can hear Jackson but not as clear was you would have liked, the song is saved by an excellent chorus.
Remember the time 10/10
This song proves that some songs don't need to be complecated to make great hits, and this is one of them. So smooth and cool and a chorus that beats all chorus's.
Can't let her get away 8/10
This is a monster of a song, and the whole musical production is great, the song pounds in and pounds out. The beat it excellent and the chorus is magnificent.
Heal the world 7/10
The song takes over a minute to start properly, Jacksons voice is perfect, the chorus is great, but it ends very slushy and you feel the message has been given across properly.
Black or white 10/10
The intro to this song is pointless, the song is a masterpiece and the intro spoils the whole feel, not really needed and very annoying, when ever i record this song i cut it out. Good song though, with a groove to it.
Who is it 10/10
So much emotion to it, and a superb chorus and lead up to chorus, with fantastic power. This is Jackson at his best.
Give into me 10/10
This is a dark song, but with a fantastic guiture work from Slash. Jacksons emotion again powers this song to have a pounding and last effect on the brain.
Will you be there7/10
The chores not needed, the song is good, the verus and singing is fabulous, the ending speech is not needed, this song is just too long, but makes up for it in the chorus and music department.
Keep the faith8/10
I have read alot of reviews about this song being rubbish but I actually think it is not that bad, ok maybe it doesn't really have a place on this album but it is still a worthy song for an MJ album. The ending is a bit poor.
Gone too soon 10/10
Everytime I hear this song i cry, it is so powerful and is so emotion and strong, when I die I want this played at my funerial along with a few other Jackson hits. Great!
Dangerous- 10/10
This song grew on me afer i saw it on the MTV music awards in 1995, where he danced amazingly to this hit and also at his HIStory concert were i was a proud guest. The verus are spoken as a rap and the chrorus is singing, and very good they are too. There is a poundung beat which vibrates any piece of furniture in sight! Good ending to the album!
This is Jackson best album bar none. The fast songs will have you danceing around your living room or singing out loud in your car, and the ballads will remain with you in your hearts for all time.
Better then Off the wall? Yes, better then Thriller? yes, better then Bad? yes. This is Jackson best album ever and he has not produced any record really as good as this one. Well done Michael.
