Three years and counting... This game is way addicting!
Pros:
TONS of replay value!
Cons:
You get really tired easily after doing a lotta hard songs consecutively.
The Bottom Line:
It's a great game because it's actually fun (for most people) and also gets you moving, making you more musically inclined and improves your stamina considerably.

Dance Dance Revolution. To some it may just be just a fun game, others, just a game. But to me, and other DDRers, this is the best game Konami ever made.
Ok, that sounded so corny, didn't it? ;P Well, I'm not good at introductions, but I can definitely tell you that DDR is one of the most "different" games that I have ever played, and will not ever regret playing this game. Instead of just sitting on the couch with a controller in one hand and a Coke in the other (like the couch potato I am), this one actually makes me get up and do something worthwhile (gasp!).
This game can be described as easy to learn, hard as hell to master. Most people can just learn how to play this game by just watching someone for around five minutes.
The game is really simple to learn. when you start, pick your song, and choose your difficulty, made up of three choices: Standard, Difficult, and Expert (they really changed it for America, since it Japan it's called Basic, Trick, and Maniac. The Japanese difficulties sound so much better IMO). Then, when you actually get into the game, there are four greyed out arrows near the top of the screen. When arrows start flowing up, you'd better get ready, because when they reach the greyed out arrows, you have to press the appropriate direction in order to get a PERFECT!! GREAT! GooD Almost or the worst, Boo! .
If you keep on getting bad marks (eg Almost and Boo!), chances are that you are going to fail the stage, which means plainly to try, try again! :D "It's not the end of the world, there's always tomorrow."
But the thing that amazes me most about DDR is that it is so easy to make up moves for it. Right now I try to freestyle on the pad (actually REAL dancing while getting a good mark), and there are people who even breakdance on the arcade machine!
DDR was a really good game that I hope can come in many sequels in America.
